I'm about to turn 48, and I think I've gotten to the point where I figured out what the best meal in existence is for humans (particularly me). It's the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Variations exist, and just about all of there good, but the basic model is the best one.
Personally, I prefer two slices of Artesano bread, Skippy peanut butter, and some form of either Smuckers Red Plum jam or a Bonne Maman spread (Cherry and Pineapple Passion Fruit are my current favorites).
The bread is a fancied up, thicker version of Wonder bread. I'm sure there are some benefits over Wonder Bread, but not many. The point is to be the perfect soft, pillowy surface to bite into and get the perfection of peanut butter mixed with your favorite flavor of fruit spread and plenty of sugar. There's protein, carbs, fat, and best of all, flavor.
I eat one just about every day. You should too, because they're good.
